I just returned from a week in Guatemala where my family and I did volunteer work with Global Vision International’s (GVI) Phoenix Project. We worked in Santa Maria de Jesus, a very poor farming village where average income is about $6 a week. I expected to learn a lot and to find the work rewarding, but I was surprised by the important business reminders that I took from my experience.
